Transportation Engineering Technician Senior - Lewis County
The Transportation Engineering Technician Senior will report to the District Design/Development Office. Performs advanced level and supervisory duties associated with either the engineering or construction areas of highway and bridge construction and maintenance. Participates in a training program requiring 180 Technician Development Hours. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION
• Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Senior by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
Training/Education Substitution (New Hires ONLY)
• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering Technology, plus ten (10) years of paid experience in a technical capacity in a civil engineering environment may be substituted for the required training/education.
OR
• Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in applied science in highway Engineering Technology, plus ten (10) years of paid experience in a technical capacity in a civil engineering environment may be substituted for the required training/education.
OR
• Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar technical degree, from an accredited college or university, plus eight (8) years of paid experience in a technical capacity in a Civil Engineering environment may be substituted for the required training/education.
OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar technical degree, from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of paid experience in a technical capacity in a Civil Engineering environment may be substituted for the required training/education.
