Lighting Intern – Auditor

The Lighting team specializes in Local Law 88 compliance and comprehensive lighting upgrades for medium to large buildings in NYC. Our meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality have established us as a leader in our industry.    

We are seeking an intern to support the Lighting Team with Local Law 88 (LL88) compliance. Responsibilities include preparing proposals and contracts, reviewing client documentation, coordinating with clients, processing compliance submissions, managing filing fees, and maintaining project tracking systems.  

This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of the Local Law 88 process as well as project management, client interaction, technical problem solving, and process improvement.  

No prior experience is needed; we provide comprehensive training.  

 

Availability to start: 
ASAP

Duration: 
At least 6 months with the possibility of extension

Schedule: 
At least 25 hours/week, Monday through Friday

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Conduct site assessments/audits for lighting upgrades, focusing on energy reduction and NYC Local Law 88 compliance
  • Analyze the feasibility, energy savings, and cost-benefits of lighting upgrade projects
  • Support the management of comprehensive lighting projects across the company’s portfolio

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Job Requirements:

  • Keen interest in energy efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel with strong numerical and data analysis skills
  • Ability to travel throughout NYC

  • Highly detail oriented
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven with a passion for learning
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
