2026 Ignite Internship

Looking for a great answer to the question – what did you do this summer? This is it! Through our Summer Internship, you’ll gain the experience, knowledge and skills to take your career to another level. Throughout this 8-week program, you’ll enjoy hands-on involvement in some of the ground-breaking initiatives we’ve got going on. You will build your network while developing technically and professionally. 

 

Responsibilities

  • You will participate in professional and technical development sessions designed to enhance your skills. 
  • You will support key projects in example areas such as Supply Chain, Enterprise Technology, and Vehicle Hardware Engineering.  
  • You will collaborate with your internship peers to analyze internal research problems, create potential solutions, and present your findings to management. 
  • You will leverage a range of technologies and internal tools, gaining practical experience. 

Qualifications

You’ll have… 

  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field  
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0   
  • Willingness to relocate to southeastern Michigan for the duration of the summer internship 
  • Completed degree and available for full-time employment by September 2028 or September 2029  
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment 
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills that demonstrate the ability to use many resources to resolve complex technical and business-related concerns 
  • Outstanding communication skills  
  • Ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
