Position Overview:
EFI Polymers is seeking a motivated Project/Process Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term at our Denver, CO facility. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting both process and project engineering initiatives. The role provides an opportunity to work on meaningful assignments that contribute directly to production efficiency, quality improvement, and new product development—with the potential for a full-time position after graduation.

Internship Duration:
May 18, 2026 – August 21, 2026 (start and end dates are flexible)
Key Responsibilities
- Support process improvement and manufacturing projects by gathering and analyzing process data to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement plans.
- Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through coordination with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for process issues and quality complaints.
- Develop project funding requests and provide updates on project progress as needed.
Required Education and Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree or technical certificate program, in good academic standing.
- Strong leadership, computer, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and able to build strong working relationships across teams.
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn with strong ownership of assigned tasks.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (strongly preferred).
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Demonstrated involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
Compensation and Other Details
- Hourly Rate: $19 – $25, based on skills, education, and experience.
- Travel: Up to 5% of the time.
