Job Description:

Are you skilled in the art of blending and mixing fertilizers and/or chemicals or have a willingness to learn the trade?  We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fertilizer/Chemical Blender to join our team and play a crucial role in producing high-quality fertilizers for our farming operations 

Oversee the blending process to ensure accurate blending and uniform distribution of ingredients.

Analyze soil and crop data to formulate custom blends tailored to specific field and crop requirements.

Collaborate with the office and field teams to understand client needs and deliver tailored blending solutions.

Conduct quality control checks on blended products to ensure compliance with established standards.

Maintain accurate records of blending formulas, ingredients, quantities, and batch details.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in blending techniques, soil health, and crop nutrition.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure and blend fertilizer/chemical components according to specified formulas and guidelines.
• Operate and maintain fertilizer/chemical mixing equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Monitor and adjust blending processes to ensure consistent and accurate nutrient compositions.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to perform regular checks and tests on finished fertilizer/chemical products.
• Maintain inventory of fertilizer/chemical components and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely resupply.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Keep detailed records of fertilizer/chemical blends, quantities used, and production processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in chemistry, agriculture, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in mixing and blending dry and liquid fertilizers, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of fertilizer/chemical components, chemical reactions, and nutrient ratios.
• Familiarity with various blending equipment, such as mixers, conveyors, and scales.
• Attention to detail and precision in measuring and mixing various components.
• Ability to interpret and follow complex blending recipes and instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust blends based on testing and analysis.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move bags or containers of fertilizer/chemical components.
