Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary: 

  • Develop, implement and/or improve processes in a fast paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior organization and problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering)
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review new product designs for manufacturability   
  • Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipment
  • Work with customers and/or vendors on process transfers
  • Program automated equipment (SMT, Ovens, FlipChip, Dispense systems, etc.) 
  • Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvements 
  • Research latest technologies in relation to capability improvements
  • Train manufacturing personnel on assembly procedures
  • Provide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering fundamentals
  • Familiarity with machine vision systems & robotics
  • Experience with basic quality tools
  • Proficient in CAD systems (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
  • Microsoft Office products

Physical Abilities (ex: standing, pulling, include duration)

  • Ability to navigate production areas and stand for long periods of time when necessary
