Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary:
- Develop, implement and/or improve processes in a fast paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior organization and problem-solving skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering)
- One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
Essential Job Functions:
- Review new product designs for manufacturability
- Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipment
- Work with customers and/or vendors on process transfers
- Program automated equipment (SMT, Ovens, FlipChip, Dispense systems, etc.)
- Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvements
- Research latest technologies in relation to capability improvements
- Train manufacturing personnel on assembly procedures
- Provide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requests
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with machine vision systems & robotics
- Experience with basic quality tools
- Proficient in CAD systems (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
- Microsoft Office products
Physical Abilities (ex: standing, pulling, include duration)
- Ability to navigate production areas and stand for long periods of time when necessary
