Role Description
This is a full-time role located in San Jose, CA or New York, NY, for a Technical Advisor. The Technical Advisor will work closely with inventors, engineers, and scientists to draft and prosecute high-quality patent applications, develop patent strategies, perform patent searches, and assist with other patent-related matters. The Technical Advisor will work across a wide spectrum of cutting edge technologies leveraging a strong background in engineering and technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or related technical fields.
- 0-3 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
- Registration before the USPTO as a Patent Agent is a plus. Otherwise, eligibility to register as a Patent Agent is required.
- Knowledge and experience with emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or other data-driven technologies is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with inventors, attorneys, and staff.
- US work authorization is required.
