Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing educational services to students, responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and implementing various educational programs, activities, lesson planning, assessments for a classical education curriculum in classroom settings in consultation with other school personnel and faculty. Salary: $38,000 - $60,000 annual salary
Teaching Assistant and Apprentice Teacher roles at Great Hearts:
As a K-5 Teaching Assistant, you support the lead teacher in the implementation of a rich Core Knowledge curriculum. A bachelor’s degree is not required for this role.
As an Apprentice Teacher, you function as a second teacher in the classroom, without shouldering the burden of all planning, grading/evaluation, parent communications
Through mentorship with a Master Teacher, you learn the craft of teaching in a classical, liberal arts primary-school environment.
Many of our ATs become lead teachers at either lower or upper schools (assuming a bachelor’s degree)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required. College degree preferred
- Certification is not required
For All Regions: Work Authorization - US work authorization is required.
For Arizona and Louisiana locations - We do accept OPT/CPT candidates.
