Engineering Intern
SolEpoxy is searching for qualified engineering students who will work alongside our engineering and production teams. We seek highly motivated students with the ability to work as a co-op or intern for the 2025 spring and/or summer semesters. The positions are located in Olean, NY. From your first day, you will be a contributing member of the team with meaningful responsibilities which will allow you to have a realistic look at process opportunities in a manufacturing environment. This position will be dependent on core courses taken towards a degree is full time, on-site.

SolEpoxy makes specialty thermoset compounds to encapsulate, insulate and protect electrical and electronic devices. - Purpose
The Engineering Intern will work on challenging projects applying engineering principles in a manufacturing and research environment with responsibilities consisting of the application of process knowledge to projects within the facility. These projects, which will be performed under the guidance and assistance of experienced engineers, have the effect of reducing waste, increasing efficiencies, streamlining process, troubleshooting issues, identifying cost savings, reducing risk, and improving products and procedures.

Education and Experience
- Progress towards completing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related degrees and currently enrolled in a program.
- Knowledge and interest in manufacturing with a course completed in statistical analysis. Ability to use basic measurement tools including calipers and thermal devices. Ability to use basic hand tools.
Computer skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Microsoft Outlook
Language/Communication Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures/manuals.
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, test methods and procedures along with good documentation of said methods and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production personnel and the engineering team.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define and document problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
