Operational Excellence Graduate Rise Program

Rise@Puratos is designed for recent college graduate to kick start their careers and provide an immersive and hands-on experience within our growing company. Rise@Puratos – Operational Excellence

 

As a member of the Operational Excellence Rise@Puratos team, you will focuses on learning and applying Lean principles to eliminate waste, conduct process analyses, and lead improvement projects. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, monitors performance using KPIs, and stays updated with industry trends. The aim of this position is to enhance analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills while improving communication and collaboration abilities.  While deepening understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, you'll also learn to optimize processes and make data-driven decisions, ensuring continuous professional development.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:  Complete rotations which include a variety of objectives and deliverables including but not limited to:

  • Learn and Apply Lean Principles: Gain a thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies and apply them to identify and eliminate waste in processes.
  • Conduct Process Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of current processes to identify areas for improvement, using tools such as value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
  • Implement Improvement Projects: Lead small-scale improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with different departments, such as production, quality, and maintenance, to gather data and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and Report Performance: Develop and use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and report on progress to management.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in continuous improvement and manufacturing, and seek opportunities for professional development and certification.
  • Develop Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Analyze data and processes to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Enhance Project Management Skills: Plan, execute, and monitor improvement projects.
  • Improve Communication and Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to enhance communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Gain Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies: Develop a deep understanding of these principles and apply them in real-world scenarios.
  • Note: Responsibilities may change throughout rotations to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

 

As an ideal candidate for our Rise program, you will possess:

  • Senior year or recent graduate (within 6 months) with a bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred majors: Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0.
  • Passion for the food industry.
  • Previous work or internship experience in the Food or CPG industry is a plus.
  • Leadership experience in university or volunteer organizations is a plus.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a drive for collaboration, flexibility, and continuous learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
