Chemical Process Engineer 

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemical processes and project management.

Duties

The Engineer shall have experience in the following chemical engineering areas:

  • Design and specification of process pumping and piping systems
  • Design, operation, and troubleshooting of chemical processes
  • Reading and developing P&IDs consistent with PIP drawing standards
  • Management of project scoping, tracking metrics, and timelines
  • Preferred experience in specification and operation of process control systems and instrumentation
  • Preferred experience with pressure vessels and over pressure relief systems in petrochemical applications

From time to time, the Engineer shall participate in field walk downs as necessary to verify or develop as-built and/or new documentation including:

  • P&IDs,
  • Project design with clients

The Engineer shall have strong skills in communication with clients, project engineers and other design disciplines to develop instrument / electrical design / construction documents as required for various industrial design project applications.

Have demonstrated experience to participate in safety analyses in the process industry (i.e. PSM, RMP PHA, MOC, PSSR)

The engineer will be required to travel as necessary for assigned projects. Some travel may be outside the US.

Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience practicing chemical engineering as described above preferably in the petrochemical industry
  • A Professional Engineering license in the state of Texas is preferred, but not required
  • US Citizen
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in use of computer aided design software including but not limited to AutoCAD
  • Able to create and read Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong project scheduling abilities to manage timelines efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check
