
Jr. Trainee - Operations
Position Summary:
The Jr. Trainee – Operations is an entry-level program designed for recent graduates to develop a foundation in poultry operations. The trainee will rotate through a specific department over two months, gaining hands-on experience in the poultry processing industry. This program provides exposure to slaughter, deboning, further processing, maintenance & refrigeration, quality assurance, safety, and human resources. Upon completion, trainees will be prepared for potential supervisor roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Rotates through sessions throughout various departments to gain hands-on experience in the operations.
- Performs on-the-job tasks with plant operations.
- Learn company specifications for all products and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist department leaders with daily activities and special projects.
- Support production start-up and monitor line efficiency.
- Track and report key production metrics.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
- No prior experience required, entry-level position.
- Must be open to relocate to an outside facility after completion of the program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify for the company driver program.
