Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Employees may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Support the Manufacturing engineers with assigned projects.
- Complete assigned tasks and small projects within the project schedule and budget under the supervision of the assigned Manufacturing engineer’s supervision.
- Perform research in assigned topics including test fixtures, equipment, products, and or processing.
- Participate in problem solving and process improvement activities using mechanical design theory and analytical skills.
- Provide project activity reports as requested.
- Daily communication with the Manufacturing Engineering team regarding assigned tasks and projects.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Computer-Aided-Design; a basic working capability using computer-aided-design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Good verbal skills for effective interpersonal interactions.
- Good writing skills for preparing fixture builds, experimental plans, and project reports.
- Organizational skills with good analytical capability.
- Flexible team member capable of carrying single and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in PC applications, including Word, Excel, and CAD.
Education:
Minimum educational requirements listed below may be substituted by relevant experience, learned competencies and/or certifications obtained throughout one’s career.
- Must have a current student status in a Bachelor of Science Program in an Engineering discipline.
Work Environment:
- Work is in an office and heavy manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to perform light lifting < 50 lbs.
- Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes and job specific PPE performing work while in manufacturing area.
