Laboratory Instrument Technician, Metrologist

Primera Analytical Solutions Corp, founded in 2002, is a contract research organization (CRO) that provides analytical, bioanalytical, formulation development, and clinical trial services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life science industries. We have an excellent tracking record with FDA inspections and successfully accomplished the analytical work for many ANDAs and NDAs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, operational, and performance qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new laboratory instrumentation or relocated instrument.
• Use scientific expertise to provide assistance with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Provide diagnostics, repairs, modifications, calibration and PM of laboratory instrumentation.
• Assist with identification and purchase or spare parts, replacement parts, or replacement instruments for calibrated instrumentation.
• Perform semi-annual and annual calibrations as scheduled.
• Update supervisor of progress on frequent basis. Seek additional guidance as needed.
• Work independently with moderate supervisory guidance.  Exhibit strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum BS in a related science such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Previous related industrial experience preferred, but not required
• Good working knowledge of GMP/GLP regulations is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervisory guidance.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail.
